In a video posted on YouTube on October 2, 2020, Sergei Sobyanin, the mayor of the Russian Federation's capital city of Moscow stated: 'Moscow could receive bulk shipments of Russia’s coronavirus vaccine by the end of 2020, while the vaccine continues to undergo final clinical trials. Around 6,000 volunteers and 600 medics have been inoculated with the Sputnik V vaccine in Moscow as part of post-registration, double-blind trials.

As of October 5, 2020, Moscow employers are required to transfer 30% of their employees to remote work through October 28, due to the city's accelerating coronavirus situation.

And, in accordance with the recommendations of the Russian Ministry of Health, Sobyanin said COVID-19 outpatients in Moscow will receive the antiviral drugs "Areplivir" and "Coronavir", which are versions of Avigan.
