India Considering Emergency Release of the COVID-19 Vaccine

India's health minister Harsh Vardhan said on September 14, 2020, the 'government is considering issuing emergency authorization of the COVID-19 vaccine, so that it can be made available at the earliest date for those in high-risk groups, including senior citizens, and healthcare workers reported the Times of India.

Minister Vardhan added: 'no date has been fixed for the vaccine's launch.'
