Public Health England Merger Will Create 'Pandemic Responsive Agency'

According to reporting by The Telegraph on August 15, 2020, Health Secretary Matt Hancock will announce Public Health England's pandemic response work will be merged with the National Health Service Test and Trace into a new body, called the National Institute for Health Protection (NIHP).

“The NIHP’s goal will be simple: to ensure that Britain is one of the best-equipped countries in the world to fight the pandemic,” a senior minister told the Telegraph.
