France To Reopen Its Boarder With England

France announced it would reopen its borders to passengers from the United Kingdom on December 23, 2020, ending a two-day blockade intended, which was focused on stopping the spread of a new SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus variant identified in England. This variant is currently referred to as “SARS-CoV-2 VUI 202012/01” or “B.1.1.7.”

France's transport minister Jean-Baptiste Djebarri is reported by the IrishTimes to state: “Planes, boats and Eurostar trains will resume service as of tomorrow morning.

France posted updated information on December 21st for foreign nationals wishing to enter France or already in France affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
