In Paris, France, local data sources indicate the proportion of intensive care unit beds in the Paris region occupied by COVID-19 patients has reached about 40%, while France recorded 10,489 new coronavirus cases, on October 6, 2020. The Zones of Marseille, Guadeloupe, Paris, and the departments of Hauts-de-Seine, Seine-Saint-Denis, and Val-de-Marne are in critical alert zones in France, where the coronavirus is circulating freely, and 69 departments are in Alert Zones.

This new information brings France's 7-day moving average of daily new coronavirus cases to just over 12,000, according to the French health ministry.
