BMI Score Associated With Higher Risk of Contracting COVID-19 Disease

Researchers in South Korea revealed in a new study published on August 25, 2020, that higher levels of obesity were associated with an elevated risk of COVID-19 disease infection. When compared with healthy-weight participants, obese people were 1.3 times more likely to contract the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus.
