SARS-CoV-2 Immune Memory May Persists After COVID-19 Recovery

Recent studies are now suggesting that even mild cases of COVID-19 disease can stimulate lasting immune responses, not only in disease-fighting antibodies, but also in B- and T-cells. A non-peer-reviewed study published on August 15, 2020, demonstrated that mild COVID-19 elicits memory lymphocytes that persist and display functional hallmarks associated with antiviral protective immunity.
