Treat Pets As Humans Regarding COVID-19

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) stated 'a small number of pets worldwide, including cats and dogs, have been reported by the OiE to be infected with the virus that causes COVID-19, mostly after close contact with people with COVID-19. And, it appears that the virus that causes COVID-19 can spread from people to animals in some situations.'

On December 11, 2020, the CDC's advisory says, 'Treat pets as you would other human family members. If a person inside the household becomes sick, this means isolate that person from everyone else, including pets.'
