COVID-19 Transmission Through Inanimate Surfaces Unlikely

A study published by The Lancet on September 28, 2020, suggests that environmental contamination leading to SARS-CoV-2 transmission is unlikely to occur in real-life conditions, provided that standard cleaning procedures and precautions are enforced. These data indicate the coronavirus transmission through inanimate surfaces is less frequent than hitherto recognized.
