India's Coronavirus Outbreak 'Far From Over'

India's Health Minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan stated on Twitter 'the battle against the coronavirus was far from over.' And, Dr. Vardhan said the government was taking all necessary measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in India.

Addressing the virtual Joint #G20 Finance & Health Ministers Meeting, Dr. Vardhan stressed 'upon the need to ensure that access to #COVID19 diagnostics, therapeutics & #vaccines is fair & equitable. Access to protection should not be a factor of the ability to pay.'

'Maximum cases and deaths have primarily been reported from Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, West Bengal, Bihar, Telangana, Odisha, Assam, Kerala, and Gujarat,' he added. 

The health minister commented 'the fatality and recovery rates in India were 1.67% and 77.65%, respectively.'
