13 US States Release Contact Tracing Data

The NPR said on August 14, 2020, it has surveyed various US state health departments about their contact tracing programs. The latest survey was completed in late July, in collaboration with the Johns Hopkins Center for Health Security. NPR highlighted what a few states are learning, such as New Jersey, where nearly half of cases refuse to provide names of contacts; and Louisiana, which discloses where coronavirus transmissions are happening, such as in bars and casinos.
